A Whirlwind Few Months and a Heart Full of Gratitude

The last few months have felt like a dream, one of those chapters in life that moves so quickly you almost have to stop and catch your breath. From finishing and publishing our book, to finally bringing home our very own horse. It’s been an emotional and unforgettable ride.
Finding our new mare felt like fate. She was right here, close to home, waiting for us, a beautiful, talented soul with the kindest eyes and the biggest heart. When we bought her, she’d been under saddle for less than 60 days, yet she carried herself with such intelligence and natural athleticism that I knew she was something special. In just a short time, she’s already found her way into my heart. I can’t wait to spend the winter getting to know her even more, learning together, and working alongside my coach to help her blossom into the horse I know she can be.
We’re in no rush to decide what level she’ll show at. For now, the goal is patience, confidence, and partnership. This winter will be about quiet progress, celebrating the little moments, the breakthroughs, and the bond that’s forming day by day. In the spring, we’ll take a step back, see how far she’s come, and decide what’s next from there.
As we head into the holidays, I’m off to Malaysia to spend Christmas with my dad and brother. While I’m away, my mom has stepped in to keep Vila going. It means so much to have her support. She’s been a rider all her life, and even though she hasn’t ridden seriously in a few years, I know Vila is in the very best hands. There’s something incredibly comforting about knowing that the love for horses runs deep in our family, it feels like things have come full circle.
This season, I’m filled with gratitude, for new beginnings, for the people (and horses) who make life beautiful, and for all the moments ahead that I know will take my breath away.
