Building Strength and Partnership with Dino

The weather finally gave us a break, and I was able to school Dino outside again, a welcome change! Lately, I've been working closely with my coach on bringing Dino a little longer and lower in his frame to help build and strengthen his topline. It's been rewarding to see the progress.

Dino was feeling fresh and full of energy, clearly just as happy as I was to be outdoors. I let him stretch his legs with a little hand gallop, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Moments like these remind me how much I'm looking forward to warmer days when riding outside becomes part of our daily routine.

These winter months have been invaluable for deepening my connection with Dino. The time spent focusing on our partnership and building trust has been a gift. Spending time outside with Dino these days has been such a rewarding opportunity to get to know him even better before show season kicks off. Building a deep connection with a horse takes time, often months, if not years to reach a point where you truly understand one another on every level.

These quiet moments, where it's just the two of us working together and continuing to grow as a team, are some of my absolute favorites. It's in these small, consistent efforts that the strongest partnerships are built. I can't wait to see how this connection translates when we step into the ring!
