Things Are Coming Together

Things are really starting to come together with Dino and I!

Over the past few months, I've been focusing on the basics, getting to know him, and developing our partnership. Now, it finally feels like we're becoming a true team. With show season just around the corner, I couldn't be more excited!

My mom recently had a conversation with Savannah, and we've started mapping out our competition schedule. The goal? Qualifying for the North American Youth Championships (NAYC) in Traverse City, Michigan this summer! It's s a big goal, but with the progress Dino and I are making, I'm feeling more motivated than ever.

Another exciting update we've finalized the music for my freestyle! I can't wait for everyone to hear it. At this point, I've probably listened to the track over 100 times (and may or may not have binge-watched the 2022, 2023, and 2024 Youth Championships on YouTube for extra inspiration).

This weekend, we have our second schooling show, which is another step in preparing for the season ahead. The last time we competed, I was completely out of breath halfway through my Third Level test. That experience was a wake-up call, so I've been hitting the gym five days a week to build my endurance. I practiced my test the other day, and I can already feel the difference. Riding upper-level horses is no joke!

I'll keep you posted on how the schooling show goes. I can't wait to take Dino down centerline again!
